Makeup in Movies

Being the beauty addict I am I can’t help but pay attention to the numerous beauty products that appear as props in movies…
SPOTTED: Beauty Products in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days: Revlon Nail Polish, Stila Garden Palette and Estee Lauder Cleanser
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is filled with beauty products which isn’t surprising since Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson) works at a top Women’s magazine. Throughout the film Revlon appears with nail polishes and advertisements in “Composure”. Later on we can see an array of products that Andie has placed in Ben’s bathroom such as: Revlon Nail Polish, a Stila Palette, and an Estee Lauder Cleanser.
SPOTTED: Beauty Products in The Devil Wears Prada: NARS Lipstick & Blush, Dior Lipgloss, Tarte Cheek Stain, Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler and Prada Perfume
We were in the Beauty Department the other day and she held up this Shu Uemura eyelash curler and said “What is this?” The Devil Wears Prada is pretty much filled with fashion eye candy; and makeup too. In the opening scene we can see NARS Lipsticks & Blushers, Dior Lipgloss, Tarte Cheek Stains, a Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, and Prada Perfume.
SPOTTED: Beauty Products in Monte Carlo: MAC Lip Gloss, Blush and Brushes
When “Grace” (Selena Gomez) gets mistaken as a British Heiress her and her girl pals decide to go with it. Not only do they score fancy accommodation, a private jet and designer clothes but also enough MAC makeup to last them a lifetime.
SPOTTED: Beauty Products in The Princess Diaries: NARS Palette, Blush, Eyeshadow and Illuminator
When the movie came out a mere 14 years ago you probably wouldn’t have taken much notice to the products used to transform Mia from High School Student to Princess. Watch it now and you will see multiple NARS products including a palette, blush, eyeshadow and illuminator.
SPOTTED: Beauty Products in 13 Going on 30: Sephora Eyeshadow Palette, Chanel Coco Rogue Lipstick and MAC Makeup Brushes
Undoubtedly one of the best movies about magazines, 13 Going on 30 starring Jennifer Garner is the perfect chick flick. When “Jenna Rink” wakes up one morning to find herself as a 30 year old women she has a field day playing with all the “grown up stuff” shoes, clothes, jewellery, and of course makeup including a Sephora Eyeshadow Palette, Chanel Lipstick, and MAC makeup brushes.

Elle Woods was way smarter than she looked, and she knew a thing or two about beauty. In the opening scene of the movie we get a peak into her array of Clinique products and extensive collection of OPI Nail Polishes. In the opening scene she’s seen spritzing on Clinique “Happy” Perfume and dusting Clinique Blush over her cheeks. Plus she brings Brooke the entire Clinique Skincare Line #priorities
SPOTTED: Beauty Products in The Bling Ring Dior Addict Lip Gloss, Miss Dior Perfume, YSL Compact and YSL Lipstick
